Guyana Stores Limited (GSL) yesterday concluded its ‘Gift Giveaway’ promotion as it presented the prizes to some of the lucky winners.
The promotion was launched last December with the sole intention of giving back to customers.
“At Guyana Stores we have been giving gifts away since last December,” said the Operations Manager of GSL, Francis Canzius, “both in the home furnishing and the electrical departments.”
He added that customers were eligible to win prizes when they purchased any appliance or any type of furniture. Every customer that shopped at GSL in December and January received some sort of prize.
In February, the management of GSL decided to have one final grand drawing, which took place last week. It yielded 10 lucky customers.
The prizes included television sets, DVD players, microwave ovens, CD players, food processors, blenders and dinner sets. The prize winners came from all parts of Guyana, including Berbice, Essequibo, Georgetown, West Coast Demerara and East Coast Demerara.
The prize-winners from the GSL branch in Lima, Essequibo will receive their prizes shortly.
According to Canzius, since the promotion began there were “quite a few winners”. The management of GSL expressed its thanks to all of the customers who had given the department store patronage over the last few months.
At the same time, there are continuing plans for promotions at GSL. There are special sales ongoing at the department store.
