As first round action in the Stag Beer sponsored East Bank Football Association (EBFA) division-one league draws to an end, two more matches will be contested at the Grove Playfield tomorrow.
Feature play will see second place Agricola Red Triangle (14 points; 4 wins 2 draws), the only unbeaten team in the league, seeking to maintain that status when they take on the Timehri Panthers (12 points; 4 wins 2 losses), another tough team, currently occupying the fourth place in the standings.
Both teams have been looking good and fans are in for a treat in this potentially high octane contest with both teams oozing confidence of taking full points.
Soesdyke Falcons, occupying the third place, will throw down the gauntlet to Diamond United in the opening game at 13:00hrs, aiming to end this round on a high, while Diamond will also be seeking to end the round on a victorious note.
Soesdyke have accumulated 12 points so far from their six matches having notched up four wins and two losses. Diamond, sixth in the standings, has five points from their six matches (1 win 3 losses 2 draws).
The first round will end on Monday when home team and points leaders Grove Hi Tech take on bottom of the table Mocha Champs, the only team not to register a point so far. Grove, on 15 points from six games (5 wins 1 loss) will fancy their chances of ending the first round in pole position but one can never tell as the Mocha boys will be seeking to register their first points of the league.
