By Franklin Wilson
The final four matches in the round-of-32 of the inaugural GT&T FastBall knock-out football competition will conclude tonight at the Den Amstel Community Centre Ground, West Coast Demerara.
Four energetic encounters are anticipated with West Demerara fans expected to be out in their numbers to urge their teams on to the next round.
Tonight’s feature showcases the pride of West Demerara in this tournament – West Side All Starz – against City side Castello Schemers and while the latter is not a known entity the home team will have to pull out all the stops if they are to advance.
As Zone winners, the All Staz will be aiming to shine brightly on the night and to accomplish this objective will turn to the likes of their leading marksman Clemet ‘Tudy’ Brown who had set the preliminary rounds ablaze with some clinical scoring.
Brown will be supported by Tonie Lopes, Adami Hoyte, Dellon Josiah, Nigel Garraway, Ike Garraway, Anthony Harding, Adrian Giddings, Cleveland Walcott and the lanky Marvin Griffith in goal.
Castello Schemers is made up of non club players from the Castello Housing Scheme and North East and will be endeavoring to add West Side All Starz to their list of casualties.

While the losing teams in the round of 32 have been receiving promotional credit even as they exit at this stage, neither of these two teams will want to walk the preverbal plank tonight, but one will.
