Kaieteur News – Rockaway Group of Companies have extended congratulations to Tagenarine Chanderpaul on his maiden call-up to the West Indies Test squad.
CEO of the entity, Hafeez Ali, said he has been following Chanderpaul’s progress closely and is elated on his call up. Ali wished him a fruitful test career.
Ali has over the years has rendered assistance to sports and athletes across Guyana and has also done charitable work. He is the owner of Rockaway Legends team and also a member of the Everest Masters.
Tagenarine, 26, son of West Indies batting legend Shivnarine Chanderpaul, has 2669 first-class runs, including five centuries and ten fifties, with an average of 34.21.
He had outstanding performances during the recent West Indies/Bangladesh A team tour, scoring 109 not-out and 49 in two first-class matches played.
West Indies will begin their 2022 Test tour of Australia with a Three-Day practice match against ACT/NSW, which gets underway from November 17.
