Opener Tomanni Caesar struck a half century as Guyana closed day one of the Cricket West Indies Regional U19 three- day championship on 175-8 against Trinidad and Tobago in St. Vincent.
Caesar hit five fours and two sixes before he was dismissed for 59, while Zeynul Ramsammy was not out on 41 with three fours and two sixes after Guyana were asked to bat at Park Hill. Zachary Jodah made 29 and Rampertab Ramnauth 16 while Bruce Vincent was not out on two.
Nick Ramlall picked up 4-39.
At Cumberland, Jamaica batted first and made 243 all out. Jordan Johnson slammed 96 while Justin Beckford made 55. Devon Stevenson claimed 3-36, Tariq O’ Neal 2-51 and Jaden Leacock 2-57.
In reply, Barbados were 60-1 at stumps. Hackeem Perryman made 27 and Joshua Dorne 18.
Windward Islands scored 209 all out taking first strike against Leeward Islands. Akeem Auguste stroked 80, while Tarrique Edward made 65 and Noelle Leo 28. Nathan Edward bagged 5-30 and Micah McKenzie 2-43. Leeward Islands were 100-3. Malique Walsh made 38 and Jewel Andrew 33. Edward had 2-17.
