Leading junior cyclist Christopher Holder, recently placed 2nd in the John T Memorial 20-mile criterium race in Anguilla, it was the 10th edition of the race and the first time Holder took part.
The 16 year-old Guyanese sensation speaking with the media on Sunday last after placing runner-up to Geron Williams in the Ballot Box Martyrs race in Berbice, said that the race in Anguilla which took place on Sunday July 5 was very challenging since several of the riders teamed up against him and he had to fight on his lonesome.
A rider from Curacao took the top spot in the race with his countrymen also occupying the 3rd and 4th places. Competitors from St. Maarten and Guadeloupe also took part.
Holder stated that he received an invitation from the Anguilla Cycling Federation. He is expected to travel to Trinidad and Tobago later this month or early in August to participate in a number of International races in the Twin Island Republic.
