Twenty-one-year-old Regan Ramaya was yesterday denied his pretrial liberty after he made a court appearance before Magistrate Hazel Octive Hamilton.
It was alleged that Ramaya on February 18, while been armed with an “ice pick”, robbed Sheldon Roberts of a cell phone, MP4 and other items valuing $87,000.
He was not required to plead since the charge was indictable. Police Prosecutor Robert Clement asked that bail be denied. Bail was denied and the accused is expected to make his court appearance on March 18 for reports.
