Kaieteur Sports – The Chairman and Organising Committee of the annual Bartica Easter Regatta has informed that they remain unreservedly grateful to their sponsors and thousands of Patrons that were part of the recently concluded Regatta 2024, held under the theme, ‘Regatta is we own’.
Chairman Kenneth Williams said that this year’s event was incident free and the thousands of spectators, athletes and officials all had a fabulous time at every event.
“The Committee invested significantly in local content and local talent in the 2024 Regatta and was rewarded with remarkable success.Local promoters were given major franchises and didn’t disappoint,” Williams suggested.

NB…The youthful franchise holders were all elated and grateful to be given an opportunity to exhibit their organizational and promotion talents and also expressed gratitude to the Regatta Committee for recognizing them and offering them a chance to showcase their God given abilities.
In addition, the Regatta Committee introduced for the first time special initiatives for school age Children namely:
1) Regatta Got Talent-Primary and secondary
2) Spelling B- Primary age
3) Junior Cook-Out competition…
4) Girls to women symposium
These initiatives were a resounding success and will be expanded next year because of warm reception received this year.
