Kaieteur Sports – The 2023 championship games in the senior boys and girls divisions of the ExxonMobil sponsored National Schools Basketball Festival (EMNSBF) are set for Sunday, July 16th at the National Gymnasium.
The competition promises to be keen as the leading teams have booked their spots in the championship game.
Results from Day 10 show: In the U18 BOYS (Semi-finals), Kwakwani Secondary scored 39 points to outgun Government Technical Institute with 30 points.
Kasim English poured in 21 points and had 4 rebounds, 4 steals, while Kelon Phillips 5 points, 6 rebounds led the Kwakwani unit. Martin Edwards 10 points, 13 rebounds was the standout for GTI. With their win Kwakwani will be going for their seventh senior boys’ title.
President’s College, who are in its third consecutive finals, scored 32 points as against Saints Stanislaus College 30 points. Judah Ferreira 9 points and Aiden Semple 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals led President’s College, while Brandon McKoy 15 points, 4 steals was on target for Saints.
ExxonMobil is the title sponsor for this year’s ExxonMobil National School Basketball Festival, with support from National Sports Commission, Edward B Beharry Ltd, and G-Boats GY.
