Dear Editor,
Another robbery in Berbice, where only a few weeks ago one was committed by a lone gunman, this time allegedly another lone gunman and a lone employee, preparing to take huge sums of money to the bank. Now the employee in this latest case is fighting for his life.
Businesses continue to place employees at risk with these transactions and to think, the business in this recent assault, had this same experience some time ago.
It has to be wondered how an employee, who is officially employed as pump attendant, is elevated once off duty, to the specialised task of executing bank deposits?
