Rebel Tennis Club currently sits at the top of the leader-board with 3 wins of the
Guyana Tennis Association’s (GLTA’s) interclub competition. Roriama and Sheltez A are neck and neck in a tie for second with both securing 2 meet wins. The GLTA is satisfied with the support club members have given as spectators to support their teams, especially Roriama Club. President of the Association, Grace McCalman, stated, “It is heartening to see clubs get an opportunity to play on other club’s courts and play other members at their levels. I see this as a pillar for club development.”
Sheltez B delivered a clinical win against Non-Pariel Tennis Club 5 points to 2, while Sheltez A lost by a slim margin against Le Ressouvenir 3 points to 4. The two teams for Sheltez squared off and the Team A emerged as the winner of the meet.
Rebel has also gained good standing by defeating Sheltez B, Roriama and Le Ressouvenir. Matches conclude this week at Harry Panday’s court and Le Ressouvenir Tennis Club.
BE THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL TO THE FOREIGN EXPLOITERS
