CricketCountry – Former cricketer Curtly Ambrose, who is working as the bowling consultant with the West Indies in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, on Monday had a go at the current Caribbean batsmen in the nets, ahead of their match against India yesterday. Interestingly, the bowler who wrecked havoc on the best of the batting line-ups in his playing days, maintained the same aura for about half-an-hour.
According to media reports, the former right-arm pacer bowled for about 30 minutes in the West Indies training session, and none of the batsmen, which includes the likes of big-hitter such as Chris Gayle and Dwayne Smith, failed to muster courage to hit Ambrose.
The West Indies lost to India in Perth.
This will be the first time these two teams were in action, after the West Indies abandoned their tour of India late last year following a dispute between their players, the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), and the West Indies Players Association (WIPA).
