For the third time, Ray Jahoor of Ashiek and Son Motor Supplies and Auto Sale is on board with the YWCC annual fundraiser, Mash Cup 2015 – Third
Edition. His sponsorship will cover the second prize of $30,000.
At the presentation held recently, Mr Jahoor who is also a member of the club said he is pleased with the progress of the club over the years and will always support any projects the club undertakes. He added that he’ll always give back to the community because the same community supports his business.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the club, First Division skipper and tournament coordinator Ishwar Singh thanked Mr Jahoor for his continued support of the Mash Cup fundraiser. He said that not only the Mash Cup gets support from Mr Jahoor but other charities. He added that this tournament is highly anticipated by the second division clubs in the area and brings out the entire family.
Singh called on the public to support Ashiek and Son Motor Supplies and Auto Sale so that they can continue to make meaningful contributions to the community. He also encouraged the cricket fans to bring their families and enjoy an action pack day of entertainment. The tournament will involve eleven second division teams from No19 to Gangaram Village on the Corentyne and will be of five overs aside and contested on Monday 23rd of February, 2015, Mash Day.
