Entries for the Banks Beer champions of champions inter company and association softball cricket competition will be closed on April 23.
The competition will be played on May 6 at Thirst Park and Entrance fee is $12,000. Action gets underway at 18:00hrs. Organiser Samuel Kingston stated that the first 16 teams will be accepted and the tournament will be contested in two categories; over 35 and open.
The first place team in the open division will pocket a trophy and $120,000 and the runner up a trophy and $60,000. The over 35 winners will take home a trophy and $100,000 and the runner up a trophy and $50,000.
Among the teams expected to take part are King’s Jewellery, MediCare, Nafico, Beharry Group of Companies, Scotiabank, NBIC, Demerara Power and Light, Princess Hotel and Banks DIH. For more information teams can contact Samuel Kingston on 614-9536.
