The Mayor’s All Star youth soccer team will tour neighbouring Suriname from March 18-21. Joshua Kamal has been
named captain of the squad which will play a practice game against Alpha United at the Georgetown Football Club today.
The locals will take on Suriname U-20 on March 18 and 20 before matching skills with Prakash on March 21.
The team has been invited by Suriname Football Bond (federation) and their trip is being sponsored by Thrill (Suriname), Courtney Benn Contracting Services and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport.
The full squad reads; Joshua Kamal (capt.), Joshua Brown, Les Charles Critchlow, Delon Lanferman, Domini Garnett, Trevor Jones, Clive Matthew, Jeffery Pereira, Andrea Hector, Dwayne Wilson, Jamal Petty, Randolph Wagner, Reshawn Hicks, Devon Charles, Malcolm Wilson, Orville Stewart, Nickel Fraser, Kevin Layne Jnr, Keron Solomon and Rondell Arthur. Officials – Christine Schmidt, Mark Bradford, Joseph Wilson, Gordon Braithwaite and Marlon Washington.
