One of the most vibrant basketball clubs in Georgetown, Pepsi Sonics Basketball Club, will host its 2013 Open Five-A-Side Basketball Competition and a three-point shootout on Saturday at the National Gymnasium beginning at 10:00hrs.
According to a press release issued to the media, teams from Pacesetters, Ravens, Nets, Panthers, Colts, Guardians, Pepsi Sonics, Eagles, The Guyana Defence Force, Buxton United, Patriots, the Knights and West Side Jammers were invited to participate.
The winning team of the one-day competition will pocket $100,000 while second and third place will take home $75,000 and $50,000 respectively; all the participating teams are allowed to enter more than one team in the competition on Saturday.
