Former West Indies opening batsman Sewnarine Chattergoon eased back into top form when he slammed a match winning century for Albion Community Centre against Edinburgh in the 2012 Tenelec Inc. First Division 50 over cricket competition in Berbice.
Chattergoon and Kandasammy Surujnarine (48) featured in an opening stand of 110 in 21.3 overs before teaming up with Jonathan Foo to add another 63 for the 2nd wicket. Chattergoon fell for 105 (8×4 1×6) but not before putting Albion on the road to an imposing 298 for 4 in their allotted 45 overs.
When Edinburgh batted and had reached 59 for 2, Gudakesh Motie picked up five wickets and with the assistance of former West Indies Leg spinner Devendra Bishoo who took two they combined efforts to bowl out Edinburgh for 87. Motie ended with 5 for 19 from 9 overs.
Young Warriors Universal DVD upstaged Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets to gain enough points to assure themselves of at least advancing to the play-offs if not the semifinals depending on the outcome of the final round of matches.
