– GABA President
Guyana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) president Steve Ninvalle has apologised to several out of town boxers, who are in the city for the amateur boxing championship, for the late arrival of their meals yesterday morning.
An upset Ninvalle noted that he personally met with officials who were delegated responsibility to ensure the boxers were provided with their meals on time, however, breakfast was not delivered until sometime after 10:00am. He promised the fighters that this will not happen again.
Ninvalle said that he was told that their was an hiccup with the person responsible delivering the breakfast on time and while it’s regrettable, he will take blame as head of GABA and is apologising to the young fighters and promised that it will not recur.
He also noted that the boxers purchased their own breakfast and were refunded the money used.
He also promised that this issue will be addressed at the executive level.
