Following the return of Guyana to the regional and International Powerlifting scene, a number of the local strongmen have been able to break into the Caribbean and North American Regional Record Books and Rankings as a result of consistent high performances.
Leading the way is Caribbean and CAC Games Gold Medalist and Overall Best lifter Randolph Morgan.
This is the first time that Guyana’s powerlifters have been recognised by the World Body.
Listed below are the internationally ranked lifters with their respective ranking in their weight class, category within the World, North American, South American and Commonwealth governing Powerlifting Bodies.
CAC -Central American and Caribbean; NAPF- North American Powerlifting Federation; Caribbean -Caribbean Islands; IPF -International Powerlifting Federation; M1 – Masters 40 – 49 age group; M2 – Masters 50 – 59 age group.
