A swashbuckling unbeaten century by former Essequibo U-19 batsman Roopnarine Persaud guided Good Success SC to a six wicket victory over Unity/Lancaster SC in a feature 30 over cricket match played recently at the Unity Community Centre ground on the East Coast of Demerara.
Unity/Lancaster took first strike and made 222-6 off their allotted overs with former Guyana and West Indies U-19 batsman Hemraj Garbarran hitting an attractive 92 (12×4, 1×6) and K. Worrel 27. Moin Khan grabbed 2-37 while there was a wicket each for Imran Khan, Nazeer Mohamed, Roopnarine Persaud and Abdool Salim.
Good Success in reply scored 224-4 in 21.2 overs. Persaud stroked an unbeaten 133 (9×4, 13×6) while Nazeer Mohamed supported with 38. Good Success took away the winning trophy.
