– a stone throw away from police station
A Riverview businessman was robbed by two gun-toting men just a stone throw away from the Ruimveldt Police Station.
The two men attacked Chris Seymour just before midnight on Friday.
According to Seymour, he was at his shop preparing to close up when the two men approached him. They both pull out what appeared to be hand guns and ordered him to hand over his valuables. The man said he first hesitated but then decided to comply after realizing that the men were serious.
The man said he was relieved on $17,000 in cash and a 25 pennyweight gold chain.
According to Seymour, after the men relieved him of his valuables, they fired two shots in the air and made good their escape through a nearby alleyway.
The matter has since been reported and investigations are ongoing.
