The battle for supremacy in the 2009 Cellink Premier League, which is in its second and final round, continues tonight at the Tucville ground with another double header.
Sunburst Camptown are down to engage Pele in the feature game and will be looking to bag another 3-points following their 4-0 hammering of GFC in their first second round game on Sunday last.
Forward Telson McKinnon, who banged a double against GFC, will again be at the helm of Camptown’s attack along with the likes of Kwame La Fleur, Nigel ‘Powers’ Codrington, Troy ‘Bugs’ Prescod, Kester Alleyne, Dexter Mollyneaux, custodian Richie Richards and captain, Orlando Gilgeous.
Pele will be aiming to rebound from their opening loss and poor showing in the league so far with at least a draw. Leading their quest will be Captain Dirk Archer along with Travis ‘Zorro’ Grant, Okeny Fraser, ‘King’ Solomon Austin and goal keeper Shemroy Arthur.
Home team Fruta Conquerors will set the tone for the evening when they oppose Flamingo. Both teams will be aiming to gather points from this encounter. Kick off time is 18:00hrs.
Meanwhile, another exciting double header is fixed for Sunday, the Guyana Defence Force match skills with GFC in the opening game with the feature attraction bringing together Alpha United and BK International Western Tigers.
