Only recently the Traffic Chief of the Guyana Police Force said that he was pleased with the way the year has been going so far as it relates to road fatalities and accidents.
However there continues to be carnage on the roadways. While there has been a reduction in road fatalities there continues to be serious accidents.
Following an accident on La Grange Public Road on Tuesday two persons are now hospitalized with broken limbs.
According to reports one of them is said to be in a critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital’s High Dependency Unit (HDU).
Up to press time yesterday doctors were still monitoring the condition of 37-year-old Colin Vieira remains in a critical condition in the HDU while his friend Ganesh Jairam is listed as stable.
The two men, according to reports, were riding a motorcycle on the La Grange Public Road when they were struck from behind.
Investigations are ongoing.
