Chateau Margot fuel station robbed

The police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred about 00:50 hours yesterday at the Energy Plus Gas Station at Chateau Margot, East Coast Demerara.

Investigations revealed that pump attendant Anand Mahadeo and watchman Latchman Rajnarine were on duty when three men drove up in a motor car and requested fuel.

As the pump attendant was attending to the request, the men, who were armed with two handguns and a knife, held them up and took away $25,000 from the pump attendant and escaped.
