The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) on Thursday last paid tribute to three Referee Instructors (RI) for their dedicated work and commitment in
the areas of refereeing and referee development in 2014.
Instructors Abdulla Hamid, Ingram Johnson and Trevor Beckles were all recognized for their outstanding work in training and preparing referees accredited to the GFF and FIFA. They were each presented with a Certificate of Appreciation and a monetary reward.
During the brief ceremony, Chairman of the Normalisation Committee (NC) Mr. Clinton Urling congratulated the Instructors and encouraged them to maintain the high level of commitment and effort in 2015 as they work to improve the capacity of the next generation of Guyanese referees.
Mr. Urling also indicated that in 2015, Referees’ recruitment, welfare and development will be paramount on the agenda of the GFF and resources will be made available to achieve those objectives.
