Police are conducting investigations into the murder of miner Dennis Creme, 35, of Port Kaituma, North West District, which occurred at about 18:30 hours on Friday at Snake Creek, Cuyuni River.
Police say that Creme and another man were imbibing at a shop when he was stabbed to his neck.
He was subsequently picked up and rushed to the Bartica Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect has been arrested and is assisting with the investigations.
