Local furniture giants Courts Guyana Inc. will sponsor today’s golf tournament at the Lusignan Golf Club.
The Courts Guyana Inc. Tournament 2011 will attract most of the nation’s leading golfers.
Officials of the Lusignan Golf Club said the course is in immaculate condition and as a result excellent scores are anticipated.
Among the players expected to compete are Lakram Ramsundar, Colin Ming, Avinash Singh,Patrick Prashad, Brian Hackett, Andre Cummings, Mohanlall Dinnanauth, Christine Sukhram, Jerome Khan, Clifford Reis, Joaan Deo, Mike Gayadin, Imran Khan, Ian Gouveia, Mark Lashley, Alfred Mentore, Maurice Solomon, Ronald Bulkan, William Walker, Geert and Rita Heikens, Bruce Cummings, Muntaz Haniff, Dr. Ram Singh, Chatterpaul Deo, Bholawram Deo, Carlos Adams, Kishun Bacchus and Munnaff Arjune.
Tee off is at 12:30 hours with the shotgun start. Prizes will be awarded to the top three players with the best net scores as well as Nearest to the Pin.
The presentation ceremony will take place at the completion of the tournament with Courts officials Steve Nauth – Director of Finance and Kester Abrams – Marketing Assistant expected to assist in the presentation of prizes.
