Kaieteur News – Two persons are now dead after they were found motionless in their homes at two separate locations… in West Coast Demerara and in Berbice.
According to police reports, on Friday at around 07:00 hrs., Hubert Henry, 51, of De Groot, Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara, was discovered lying motionless on his bed by his 26-year-old son.
Reports are that the man was an alcoholic, who suffers from epilepsy. He would normally consume alcohol and would sleep wherever he found himself, even under his home.
The dead man’s son, Shivnanand Henry, reportedly told police that around 03:30 hrs. the morning, he went and use the outdoor washroom. He saw his father lying on the ground. Shivnanand reported that he placed his father on a bed that was under the house.
Sometime around 06:30 hrs., he discovered his father motionless. The matter was reported to the Leonora Police Station and upon the police arrival, blood stains were seen on the man’s stomach and his right ear. The body was taken to the Leonora Hospital where he was seen and examined by a doctor, who pronounced him dead. The body was later taken to Ezekiel Funeral Parlour, where it is awaiting a post mortem examination. Investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, at West Canefield, East Canje, 64-year-old, Lilowtie Hanoman, was found motionless on the stairs of her house, at around 09:00 hrs. by her husband.
Kaieteur News understands that her husband, Narinedath Doodnauth, 67, reportedly told police that his wife got up from her bed and went to take a shower. After getting dressed, she went and sat on the steps.
Doodnauth reported that after sometime, he did not see her returning, so he decided to go and check on her. He found his wife motionless on the steps.
No marks of violence were found but according to Doodnauth, his wife suffers from medical complications. Investigations are still ongoing.
