The Guyana Squash Association will continue its 2020 calendar with the running off of its second tournament for the year the annual Bounty Farm Ltd Handicap Squash tournament which begins today, Wednesday February 12th, at the Georgetown Club Courts on Camp Street. Thirty five participants will match skills in the two categories, Open for the more seasoned players and Category A for the younger players.
The Open category includes last year’s Lucozade handicap winner Nicholas Narain, Peter Michael DeGroot, Ashley Khalil, Michael Alphonso, Kirsten Gomes and BCQS Women’s Veterans Over-35 winner Lydia Fraser, while Category A will see some of the up and coming junior players, Shiloh Asregado, Joshua Verwey, Dhiren Persaud and Lajuan Munroe battling with the other players to see who will come out victorious.
Matches will run each weekday evening starting from 6:00pm and throughout the day on Saturday before concluding with the finals on Sunday starting from 11:00am. The usual BBQ fundraiser will be held on Sunday February 16.
