Woodroffe, 36, of Crane, West Coast Demerara, was reportedly crossing Church Street, in the vicinity of Guyana Stores, when he was struck down by a route 45 bus, driven by Leon Kyte of Lot 222 Lamaha Street, Kitty.
The accident occurred around 09:30hrs.
Sergeant Woodroffe is seconded to the Intelligence Unit’s Military Criminal Department and was on active duty at the time.
