Support for Guyana’s leading youth and sports organisation, the Rose Hall Town
Youth & Sports Club Silver Jubilee anniversary celebration continues to pour in. The two major commercial banks in the township of Rose Hall on Thursday last financially supported the club.
Demerara Bank will be the sole sponsor of the club’s Silver Jubilee Spelling Bee competition for Primary School children, while Republic Bank (Guy) Ltd will be co-sponsoring the Club’s 25th Anniversary Souvenirs Magazine.
Republic Bank (Guy) Ltd also donated trophies for the club’s Tribute to Heroes Programme. Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster hailed the contribution of both banks and hailed them as friends of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club.
The Demerara Bank sponsored Silver Jubilee Spelling Bee competition would involve the top twelve Primary Schools in Region 6. The top three schools along with the top students would receive trophies and special prizes.
The club is also receiving support from the Region 6 Ministry of Education Department to organise the Spelling Bee competition which would be held very soon. Foster expressed gratitude to the Board of Directors and the Management of Demerara Bank for their support
over the years.
Republic Bank (Guy) Ltd has been an official sponsor of the club over the last decade and has over the years sponsored numerous programmes for them including the annual Awards ceremony, scrabble, educational summer camp, cricket commentary and the annual youth review magazine among others.
Foster expressed gratitude to the Management of the Rose Hall Town branch especially Manager Harry Das Ghaness, Administrator Seema Brijmal, Supervisor Samantha Leitch and Secretary Karen Seepersaud for their cooperation over the years.
Republic Bank (Guy) Ltd support for the Silver Jubilee would enable the club to successfully publish it’s souvenir magazine and host its Tribute to Heroes Awards ceremony. Representatives of both banks congratulated the club on achieving 25 years of success while stating that they were proud to not only fulfill their corporate responsibility but also to be associated with the RHTY&SC.
