The recently reorganized Bush Lot United Turf Club of West Coast Berbice which was once one of Guyana’s leading race tracks is making moves to get itself up and running as quickly as possible as such the track has organized another one day race meet, which will be held on Sunday October 9 at their Bush Lot West Coast Berbice venue.
Eight races are listed for the day with the G class; Two year Guyana Bred, the H class and the ‘I’ class events being the main races on the day. Over $2M is at stake.
The feature race is for G and Lower horses with the winning set at $250,000 and trophy over 1400M.
The Two Year old Guyana Bred Maiden event has a winner’s money of $150, 000 and the distance is 1200M. There H class winning take is set at $120,000 and trophy over 1200M.
The event for ‘I’ and lower horses over 1200M is set for $100,000 and a trophy. The J and lower race will see the winner take home $80,000 and a trophy over 1000M.
The winner of the Class ‘K’ will get $30,000 and a trophy.
The champion horses in the Race for Maiden horses’ over 1000M will collect $100,000 and trophy.
There are two group races, one for Group one animals and the other for Group two horses with the winning money being set at $60,000 and $50,000 respectively and trophy over 100M.
A number of horses have been entered so far and a grand time is anticipated as the organizers have stated that the track is in excellent condition.
