Dear Editor,
With reference to the Kaieteur News article: (11-01-09) “Woman struck by mysterious illness” — without the benefit of a proper history of the circumstances during and after surgery, and without examining the patient, I am of the opinion that the diagnosis of Sheehans Syndrome should be considered, and tests done to confirm same.
I have seen this uncommon condition at least five times, and it is eminently treatable.
