Visits made to New Amsterdam & Rose Hall Corentyne
In an effort to get a feel of what takes place on the ground and to get first hand information about the challenges faced by the amateur boxing fraternity, newly elected President of the Guyana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA), Steve Ninvalle has taken his outreach programme to the Ancient County of Berbice.
Ninvalle, who recently took over the top spot has virtually hit the ground running on Sunday last along with GABA Vice President Jeff Roberts visited the Pocket Rocket Gym in New Amsterdam, Berbice.
This visit along with many others to come according to Ninvalle are aimed at getting a firsthand look at gym facilities around the country which will enable the GABA to better access the needs of its affiliates.
Ninvalle also met with persons at Rose Hall and on the Corentyne, who are eager to set up opening gyms in that area. The Executive is set to meet tomorrow and will decide on a schedule of visits going forward.
