Dear Editor,
I would like to add my say in the letter section. The Ramotar administration is soft on crime, that is the reason why there are so many crimes are committed: killings, robbery, rape, drugs and other criminal activities around the country.
Tough and harsh penalties are needed to stop criminals from committing these violent crimes. The president and all Members of Parliament need to work together to bring back the death penalty as soon as possible.
Opposition parties should join in the fight against crime, not just to sit back with ideal brains. Anyone found guilty and convicted of killing, should be hanged.
Hang them in public, at Cuffee Square, or Stabroek Market Square, so others can see and get the message.
Where are the Human Rights Groups when innocent people are getting killed? I guess they are hiding under their beds. The Human Rights Groups just don’t care about the victims, they only try to protect the criminal elements.
The only way the Ramotar Administration can make Guyana a better, more productive, safe place to live and to do business, is to be tough on crime. Trying to be the nice guy would not work. Too many innocent people are getting killed. Why keep the killers in jail for a few years and then let them out to kill again? Hang them as soon as possible.
