Dear Editor,
I ask that you publish this letter so the Guyanese public can know how we are being robbed. I just left school and began working for the first time, doing carpentry. I went to a popular hardware store and bought a claw hammer for $795.00. On my first day of work, the first task was to remove some inch and a half nails. With the first nail I tried to removed, the hammer’s handle broke from its metal head. I was so disappointed to know my money was wasted
Let God be my judge if I am telling the truth. This is the same business place that is for the revoking of the parking meter project and telling those people how to run their operations and this store is guilty of bringing the most inferior product into this country. Where is the Guyana Bureau of Standards? Where is the Government to put things in place for the poor and working class citizens?
