I have noticed that there is a big hue and cry over the candidate in the recently concluded LGE over allegations of child molestation by Mr. Harding. While I am personally against such actions, it seems as though those at the helm of the campaign to have APNU/AFC distance themselves from the candidate have short or convenient memories.
Not so long ago in Lethem, Mr. John Macedo, of the PPP/C was accused of raping a semi-retarded school child. He was arrested, and was only released after the parents of the child did what I will not mention. Mr. Macedo contested in Constituency 3 in Lethem, lost the FPTP segment and was still selected by his party to sit on the new Municipality, in spite of his rejection by the electorate. So if you have glass windows, don’t throw stones.
