Dear Editor,
University of Guyana students who live on the East Coast need to have a comfortable location for the nine cars, the University of Guyana gave permission to shuttle us into campus.
As it is, because of a court order The Beharry’s got against Minister Robeson Benn, who along with the Commissioner of Police, the Traffic Chief and staff from the Ministry of Works had erected two “University of Guyana Taxi Only” signs to facilitate the nine cars parking and a “No Parking” plastic was pasted over those signs.
The drivers, out of fear of prosecution now park by the Gafoors Apartment Complex which is a block away from the East Coast Road and extremely uncomfortable in terms of walking length, rain or the mid morning sun.
Metro had erected a concrete bus shed to aid students. The nine cars can work from there if you give permission.
Please help, we are suffering, you need to observe it to understand.
