Kaieteur News – Two separate cannabis farms valued over $21 million were destroyed by ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Friday at Yarrowkabra Backdam, Region Four.
This is according to a statement posted by GPF. Police said the farms measured two acres and one acre.
“The two acres farm contained about 4,500 cannabis plants ranging from three (3) feet to five (5) feet in height. A makeshift camp and a barrel containing about 140 lbs dried cannabis were found at the camp. The one-acre farm contained about 1500 cannabis plants ranging from one (1) to two (2) feet in height,” police said.
The two farms, along with the dried cannabis and plants were destroyed by fire. The estimated street value of the cannabis is approximately $21,083,664.
