Connections of the Slingers Racing stable receives the Emancipation Cup for El Tarzan’s win in the feature E2 and lower event.

Kaieteur Sports – El Tarzan of the Slingers Racing Stables with Jockey Chavez on board showed that it is fit and ready for the competition. The animal displayed speed and stamina as it came from behind to win the feature E2 and lower event at the Kennard Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) Emancipation Meet on Sunday.
It was a tight call for second and third between Stable mates of the Simple Royal Stable as Stormy Victory edged out Morning Colors. Wild Texas Tom was tamed as it ran in fourth.
El Tarzan took home the winning take of $500,000 and trophy.
The Emancipation horse race meet was full of action in front of a large crowd.
American Traveller with jockey Ramnarain in the stirrups was in control as it travelled all the way to win the event for H Class and Lower horses. Outshining Blinding Lights had to settle for second ahead of Sexy Eyes and Amicable Kate.
For the win American Travelled came home with $400,000 and trophy.

The three-year-old race was a keenly contested affair with I Will Have Another taking the top prize as it squeezed out Ruff Time with Secret Traveller placing third.
It was a ‘nice time’ for Nice Time as it ran away with the Two-year-old Guyana-bred event as She’s a Dancer, Miracle Boy and Tik Tok rounded out the money.
The J class maiden event was an exciting affair as Top Ranking and Secret Silence battled to the line for a dead heat. Dr J came third and Fire Maker fourth.
Heathland was ahead of the pack in the L Class Open event as it beat out Money Time, Trump and Bin Laden for the win.
The event was well coordinated with the day’s races being held under the aegis of the KMTC.
