Kaieteur News – Dem boys seh de PPP/C campaign in full swing—but nobody ain’t know who running yet! De presidential candidate still a mystery.

But leh we be honest, is like a mystery novel where everybody done know de ending—”The Return of Irfaan.” De only ting missing is a formal announcement, like how de Central Committee supposed to meet and bless de coronation. But up to now, not a peep—not even a press release saying dem meet fuh decide nothing. Maybe de Central Committee deh pun extended lunch break since 2020.

Dem boys seh even if it’s a foregone conclusion, de party coulda at least ‘pretend’ fuh follow de rules. Call a lil meeting, pass round some pholourie, clap a few times, and let de man walk out smiling with a “yes comrades, I humbly accept.” But instead, we get campaign trucks, rallies, and face signs all over de place before de committee even say, “aye or nay.”

And talking bout signs, dem boys seh three former APNU pickney suddenly show up endorsing de very President. Now dem sitting round a desk with de GS smiling up, like is one big happy reunion. But wait nah—is only Jagdeo on de other side of de desk? Wah happen to de rest of the PPP leadership? Nobody else get an invite? Is like a one-man meet-and-greet show now.

Dem boys seh it looking like PPP now stand fuh One man shaking hands, one man pulling strings, and everybody else clapping from de sideline.

Dem boys seh democracy inside PPP looking like a school play—everybody got a role but only one man got lines. De Central Committee missing like sugar in GuySuCo. But de campaign rolling, de posters up, and Jagdeo running de show like em is candidate, campaign manager and committee chairman all in one.
