Kaieteur Sports – A talented four-man team arrived in Barbados yesterday to represent Guyana at the 2025 Caribbean Regional Table Tennis Championships, which got underway Tuesday (June 17) and runs to June 22 at the Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Gymnasium in St. Michael.
As part of its rebuilding strategy, the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) has named a youthful, promising squad featuring Junior Under-19 Champion Niran Bissu and the prolific Elishaba Johnson. With a strong focus on development and competitive experience, Team Guyana is set to participate across multiple categories in this prestigious regional tournament.
The full squad in Barbados includes; Niran Bissu, Jonathan van Lange, Elishaba Johnson and Shemar Britton.
The team will be led by veteran player and former Caribbean men’s bronze medalist and Under-21 champion, Shemar Britton.

Meanwhile, a statement issued by the GTTA informed, “We extend our full support to the team and look forward to solid performances over the coming days. We encourage all table tennis enthusiasts and sports fans to follow the team’s progress as they represent Guyana with pride and determination.”
