New Chinese truck brand enters Guyanese market

Kaieteur News- Industrial Supply of Guyana Inc. (ISG), a subsidiary of MACORP, has officially secured the dealership rights for Foton, one of China’s leading truck manufacturers.

ISG, in a statement on Tuesday, said the partnership was formalised at the recently concluded Latin America Foton Conference held in Brazil.

The dealership agreement was signed by German Consuegra, President and General Manager of MACORP and ISG, and Mao Changwen, General Manager of Foton’s Central America Region.

The company stated, “Foton, a brand well-recognised across South America and other global markets, is known for its high quality, performance, durability, and commitment to innovation. With the addition of Foton trucks to its portfolio, ISG is set to enhance support for Guyana’s fast-growing productive sectors—positioning the brand as ‘the real truck for the real work.”

ISG currently serves as the authorised reseller for several industrial brands, including National Petroleum, Ultra, SKF, ePro, and International Trucks. The company is one of Guyana’s industrial landscapes, providing equipment, parts, and tailored solutions across multiple productive sectors.

Speaking on the partnership, Consuegra described the agreement with Foton as an “excellent opportunity” for ISG to strengthen its commitment to delivering “integral solutions” to clients in a wide range of industries.

The company also expressed confidence in Foton’s success in the local market. “The company is confident in Foton trucks, backed by strong aftermarket,” ISG noted.
