Kaieteur News- A 29-year-old electric motorcyclist from the Essequibo Coast died Sunday afternoon after he was struck by a vehicle along the Queenstown Public Road.
He later succumbed to his injuries at the Suddie Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Shervin Venture, also known as “Brainzy,” of Queenstown Village, Essequibo Coast.
Kaieteur News understands that the fatal incident occurred around 13:00hrs as Venture was attempting to cross the roadway on his electric bike. Video footage seen by Kaieteur News shows Venture riding across the road when a vehicle slammed into him. As a result of the impact, Venture was flung in the air and landed on the public road. He sustained a broken leg.
Kaieteur News learnt that he was quickly picked up in an unconscious condition and rushed to the Suddie Hospital, where he remained under medical attention. However, around 17:00 hrs, Venture was pronounced dead.
