2025 Inaugural Breakout T20 League…
-Two match simulations set for April 17&19 at Providence
Kaieteur Sports- With just a few days left until the highly anticipated start to Inaugural Breakout T20 League hosted in Trinidad & Tobago, local franchise the Guyana Rainforest Rangers will commence their encampment phase from April 16.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB), with the franchise entering their training camp ahead of the Regional T20 tournament.
Players will undergo some net sessions and two key match simulations bowling off from 17:00h at the Guyana National Stadium on April 17 and 19.
In between the young stars will have two off days to unwind, with the last being the day prior to their departure for Trinidad & Tobago, which is set for April 22.
The Rangers will see decorated national senior and a few youth players in Kemol Savory, Kevin Sinclair, Quentin Sampson, Kevlon Anderson, Riyad Latif, Zeynul Ramsammy among other top Guyana players looking to bring home the inaugural championship.
Six franchises will face off in the inaugural Breakout T20 League which is designed to showcase the Caribbean’s next generation of cricketers.
Action gets underway from April 25 to May 10, with all 17 matches being hosted at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Tarouba, Trinidad.
Each team is affiliated with a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchise, with accredited players and upcoming stars having their time ahead of Summer’s biggest event, to get a taste of this new tournament, which is expected to serve as a prelude to the 2025 CPL.
