– Ten Pow cops Player of the Tournament, as Lowe cart off with three titles
Kaieteur Sports- As the curtains came crashing down at the Georgetown Club on Saturday following an electrifying week of squash, two young names stood tall among the champions at the 2025 Moo! National Junior’s Squash Championship: – Justin Ten Pow and Kaylee Lowe.
Hosted by the Guyana Squash Association (GSA) in collaboration with the Moo! brand, this year’s tournament was nothing short of historic, not just for its competitive edge but also for its inclusion of the Doubles category, a first in over 60 years of the championship’s existence. But even amidst this landmark change, it was the brilliance of Ten Pow and Lowe that lit up the final day of action.

Participants alongside officials gathered for photo-op, marking the conclusion of the 2025 National Juniors Championship which was sponsored by MOO!
Triple crown glory went to the promising Kaylee Lowe, if there was a queen of this year’s championship, it was undoubtedly Kaylee Lowe. Entering the U19 finals with the U15 and U17 Girls’ titles already secured, Lowe faced her biggest challenge yet in the U19 Girls’ division against the talented Rylee Rodrigues. What was expected to be a cautious cat-and-mouse contest quickly turned into a display of raw determination and stamina.
Lowe, showing maturity beyond her years, controlled the tempo of the match with confident rallies and clever shot placement. Her aggressive play-style and relentless pace proved too much for Rodrigues, as Lowe sealed the victory in straight sets: 11-6, 11-8, 11-3, a fitting exclamation mark on her triple-title campaign.
Justin Ten Pow also stood tall in two separate events, first in the Boys’ U17 division where he settled the promising Bulkan 3-0 to take the coveted crown. The little master Justin Ten Pow showed why he’s one of the brightest stars rising through the ranks. After a composed performance in the earlier rounds, he entered the U15 final with one mission: to defend his title. His opponent, a familiar face, the in-form Ethan Bulkan, fresh off his U13 triumph, in the back of his head he knew it was no easy task. But Ten Pow was unfazed.
Using a mix of finesse, speed, and tactical awareness, Ten Pow played a clinical match, outmaneuvering Bulkan in straight sets to claim a commanding 3-0 win. His ability to stay composed under pressure and unleash winning shots when it mattered most showcased a maturity rarely seen at this level. The win not only reaffirmed his dominance in the U15 category but also the ability to dominate other divisions, wrapping up a phenomenal championship run.
Though Ten Pow and Lowe stole much of the spotlight, the tournament was brimming with talent. Louis Da Silva bulldozed through the Boys U19 division without dropping a set, while Ella Fernandes and Rafael Braithwaite impressed in the U11 divisions. Ethan Bulkan’s spirited play earned him the Most Promising Player (Boy), and Tehani Munroe walked away with the Most Improved Player award after her U13 Girls title win.
The 2025 edition of the Moo! National Junior’s Championship was more than just a series of matches, it was, a celebration of youth talent, fierce competition, and the promising future of Guyanese squash. With stars like Justin Ten Pow and Kaylee Lowe leading the charge, the Golden Arrowhead looks to be in safe hands heading into the regional and international squash arena.
