Kaieteur News- The Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Wednesday issued wanted bulletins for three men, who are accused of murdering Chandradeo Kumar Singh, during an armed robbery at Hill Street, Albouystown on March 31, 2025.
Singh died on April 1, 2025 during a surgery, after he was gunned down. The three wanted men have been identified as Ryan Goodluck, 31, whose last known address is Lot 928 Herstelling, East Bank Demerara (EBD); Tyrese Mullin, 21, whose last known address is Lot 25 Hill Street, Albouystown and Damion Bobb, 22, whose last known address is Bareroot, Bachelors’ Adventure, East Coast Demerara (ECD). Police are urging that if anyone knows the whereabout of the wanted men, contact them or the nearest police station.
Police said that Singh who resided at Lot 26 Hill Street, Albouystown was shot before being relieved of his gold chains and an undisclosed amount of cash. At the scene, Kaieteur News learnt that bandits took his wallet which contained $40,000.
The incident reportedly occurred around 10:30hrs, while Singh, along with Reyaz Ali and Mark Soodoo, was playing cards in front of a shop located next to the alleyway which leads to his home. Police reported that two males wearing surgical masks and armed with hand guns approached them on a blue and black Lindy motorcycle from the northern direction on Hill Street.
One eyewitness recalled that she was at the shop with a baby in her arms when the gunmen pulled up. “Them come from Sussex Street side” she said while recounting that all of a sudden, a gunshot rang out. “I just freeze. People had to come hold me”, she added. Police said the suspects dismounted the bike and pointed their firearms at Singh before firing a shot in the air.
Singh then got up and ran through the alley leading to his home, but the bandits chased him and began shooting. “The man run and go in the yard and dem run behind he and dem shoot behind he back”, eyewitnesses said as they recalled that he collapsed before making it home.
“If you see blood”, they relayed.
Police said that Singh was shot twice in both of his thighs above his knees.
The bandits then reportedly relieved him of his valuables, the gold chains from around his neck and a wallet that was stashed in his crotch.
After they fled the scene, eyewitnesses and neighbours rushed to assist him.
A cell-phone recorded video has surfaced of neighbours fetching him out of the alleyway and placing him in the back of a Toyota Spacio car. His lower body was covered in blood as he was transported to the hospital.
Singh’s relatives said they were not around at the time of the shooting, but went to the hospital upon receiving the news.
When they arrived, doctors told them that Singh did not survive the emergency surgery.
“I went and saw him, he went for a surgery and dem seh he didn’t make it through the surgery”, a female relative told Kaieteur News on Tuesday.
Investigations are ongoing.
