Kaieteur Sports- The Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) recently lauded the efforts of Mr. Terry Harte, a Queen’s College Alumni following his heart-felt donation of Badminton gear to the QC Badminton Academy.

Queen’s College Alumni Terry Harte handing over the Badminton Gear to Nikolas Pollard, a student of QC alongside QC Alumni Dr. Mahendar Sharma and Marcellos Bhagwandin.
The School’s Academy were recipients of Racquets and Grips, courtesy of Mr. Harte a former student of Queen’s College who now resides in the USA. Harte, a National Level 3 Umpire in the USA and also a QC alumni who left the institution in 1973 to attend the University of Missouri, has also taught at the West Demerara Secondary for a brief period.
Following the donations, which were held at the National Gymnasium recently, the GBA hailed Mr. Harte for adding to the development of the Association and by extension the sport of Badminton.
The GBA has also been on a mission to bring the sport as well as the introductory stages of coaching to a number of schools and institutions, as they seek to further grow the sport for the future.
