Kaieteur News- Two women from Queenstown, Essequibo Coast were charged on Friday for unlawfully wounding each other, when they appeared at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court.
The defendants, 35-year-old Runda Emmanuel and 30-year-old Brenda Frederick, were arraigned before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke.
Emmanuel and Frederick were both charged for wounding each other on March 4, 2025 at Anna Regina Market Road on the Essequibo Coast. Emmanuel pleaded guilty while Frederick pleaded not guilty after the charges were read. Magistrate Clarke released Frederick on $200,000 and Emmanuel was sentenced to three months imprisonment. The matter was adjourned to April 15, 2025.
