Kaieteur News- An 18-year-old bus conductor was on Tuesday charged with the rape of a child under the age of 16 when he appeared at the Mabaruma Magistrates’ Court.
The accused, Ralph Thomas, of Mabaruma Settlement, North West District, was charged with raping a 13-year-old female student on March 14, 2025 in Region One.
He appeared before Magistrate Clive Nurse. He pleaded not guilty and was released on $400,000 bail.
Thomas is scheduled to return to court on March 21, 2025.
